Neck pain, repeated difficulty in removing the root, be careful of something going wrong with your internal organs

When it comes to shoulder pain, people are used to equating it with frozen shoulder, but in fact, most shoulder pain is not caused by frozen shoulder, and sometimes the cause is not even in the shoulder. Therefore, to solve the problem of shoulder pain, you must first determine the cause, and you cannot blindly treat it yourself. For example, for people who spend a long time in front of the computer and lack exercise, their shoulder pain is likely to be caused by muscle tension and stiffness. At this time, just one move can solve the pain problem.

Identify Disease
There are many causes of shoulder pain, and they should not be limited to "frozen shoulder", "shoulder", or even "orthopedics" to avoid delaying treatment. When a problem occurs, what kind of disease should we first determine?

Those things about orthopedics
rotator cuff injury

In clinical practice, the vast majority of shoulder pain is actually caused by rotator cuff injury.

The rotator cuff is a group of tendon complexes surrounding the humeral head, which determines the stability and mobility of the shoulder joint. For middle-aged and elderly people, rotator cuff injuries are mostly caused by wear and tear and overuse of the shoulder joint. For adolescents, most are related to trauma.

Main symptoms: obvious tenderness in the shoulder joint, difficulty in lifting, and lack of support. In daily life, basic daily activities such as picking up tall objects and combing hair are obviously restricted.

subacromial impingement syndrome

It means that during the lifting and abduction process of the shoulder joint, the humeral head repeatedly impacts the acromion, resulting in related injuries and inflammatory reactions.

Main symptoms: obvious pain, aggravated when lifting or abducting, but relieved after fully lifting.

shoulder dislocation

The shoulder joint is prone to dislocation due to its anatomical characteristics of a large ball (humeral head) and a shallow and small bowl (glenoid).

Main symptoms: joint swelling and pain, obvious limitation of movement, shoulder deltoid muscle collapse, and square shoulder deformity.

cervical spondylosis

The cervical vertebrae are under great stress and need to support the brain. Coupled with long-term bad posture, the intervertebral discs are extremely prone to degeneration, causing compression and pain.

Main diagnosis: In addition to shoulder pain, it also presents with symptoms such as neck pain, dizziness and nausea, and numbness in the hands.

frozen shoulder

It refers to the chronic specific inflammation of the shoulder joint capsule and its surrounding ligaments, tendons and bursae. It is common in people around the age of 50.

Main symptoms: Neck and shoulder pain without triggers, limited shoulder joint movement, and pain often worsens after exertion or cold.

Things other than orthopedics
Gallstones, cholecystitis

In addition to right rib pain, patients with gallbladder disease often also present with right shoulder discomfort.

tumor

Patients with cancers such as lung cancer and gastric cancer may also experience shoulder pain in the mid-stage of cancer.

heart disease

Problems in the "heart" may not necessarily manifest in the "heart". It can also manifest as stomach pain, toothache, back pain, and left shoulder pain. Therefore, patients with recurring left shoulder pain must be vigilant.

The above are some of the causes of shoulder pain. Some can be relieved by rest, and some can delay the progression of the disease by resting. Therefore, I would like to remind you that if you feel unwell, it is recommended to go to the hospital to find out "why you feel pain" first, and then provide targeted treatment.

Check activity
After active diagnosis and elimination of diseases, many people find that there is indeed nothing wrong with them, but only "degeneration". Then I suggest you test your flexibility first.

First, measure the length from the far end of the wrist crease to the tip of your longest finger.

The test subject then stood upright and made fists with both hands. Stretch one fist to the back of the neck and the other to the back, and measure the distance between the two closest points of the two hands.

Finally, rated according to the following criteria

Level A: The distance between the two hands is less than 1 hand length.
Level B: The distance between the two hands is greater than 1 hand length but less than 1.5 hand lengths.
Grade C: The distance between the hands is greater than 1.5 hand lengths, or pain occurs.
(During the test, always make fists with both hands)

exercise
For friends with grades B and C, their flexibility is obviously insufficient, and their muscles are likely to be in a state of long-term tension and spasm. Here is a trick for you. It is recommended that you practice it every day to gradually eliminate stiffness and restore functional activities.
